Valve Guides (Phosphor Bronze)
Phosphor bronze (Cn-Sn-P alloy) has high strength and thermal conductivity, so it is used as a valve guide for high-speed, high-power engines. In addition, since the sliding performance is higher than that of general materials, the clearance with the valve can be reduced, and the assembly around the valve and the operating accuracy can be improved. This has a great effect on reducing stress in the valve train, preventing valve sticks, and preventing valve guide cracking.
